Honoring Christ in the Way We Minister to Children and Youth At Church (Seminar Notes)

The Children’s Ministries of Wheelersburg Baptist Church exist in order to support and encourage parents in the shepherding of their children by offering various resources and quality programs that will help them to grow in their knowledge of, love for, and obedience to Jesus Christ.  Some of these programs are:

Sunday School Classes (Sunday at 9:30 a.m.-10:15 a.m.) We offer children’s Sunday School classes from Nursery through High School.: 

Children’s  Church is an option during the Worship Service for children through kindergarten. After Sunday School, these children join their parents for the beginning of the worship service and then are dismissed to their class prior to the sermon. During this time, the children are given an opportunity to worship the Lord and learn more about Him. We do not provide classes after 6 years of age, but encourage parents to hold their children accountable for joining in the worship service, taking notes on the sermon, answering questions on the way home, etc. A word search puzzle is available with key words of the sermon if the children wish to participate.

Sunday Evening is a time for all children to meet with their church family and experience singing, praying, greeting one another and hearing the Word together. A pre-school age group for learning that is age-appropriate is also available during evening worship.
